Thanks, God.
Reason #2 to Avoid Living Outside the Perimeter
I'm sure you all remember the post of the pic of the OTP car dealership, so I wanted to take a moment to clarify a few things for our friends visiting from out of town. First, OTP means Outside the Perimeter. The perimeter is a circular highway (285) around Atlanta. The second thing you should know about the perimeter is that anything outside it is completely irrelevant to the rest of Atlanta and the world.
That said, this is another OTP pic showing us yet again why life outside 285 is inappropriate and contrary to God's wishes. Thanks to futureslam for the photo.

Kanye West is Gay Fish
We don't mean any offense to any gay fish out there reading MannDubinBlog, but Kanye West is the biggest gay fish of them all. That's why he's the expert on flooding: he loves it. Thanks to Carl for hooking us up with the photo, and thanks to of_all_time for his/her photo editing skills.
MARTA is Absolutely NOT your Best Option in a Flood.
The MannDubinBlog family is a fan of public transportation, but there are a few conditions to our fan-dom that MARTA just doesn't meet. One problem I have with MARTA, for instance, is the fact that it's buses are not even close to water-tight. I'm not talking about situations like the one pictured above, either. Any time it rains water comes pouring in through cracks in the ceiling. What you can't see in the picture above is the water level inside the bus. It's filled to the top. I guess that makes it more of an aquarium than a bus.
Fact.

Canoes in the Krog Street Tunnel!
Thank you Twitter! Our new friend (so new even he doesn't know it) D. Minor tweeted this awesome action shot:

Thank you...Jimmy Hoffa?
Well, at least one good thing has come from The Great Atlanta Flood.
It turns out that Jimmy Hoffa's remains were buried below the sludge in Nancy Creek. Down came the rain and washed his body out. And then the current came and floated him right between cars stranded on the connector. I mean, since we were there we obviously have the true story, and I must say Jimmy looked a whole lot like Bernie from "Weekend at Bernie's." And by "we were there," I mean our newest field correspondent Arnold was there to document the occasion.
Fact.

Kwanza Hall- Proof he's a fan
Thank you Atlanta City Councilman Kwanza Hall!
Thanks Arman L!
The "it's OK for me to joke b/c my stuff got F'd up too" Post
As you can see, the MannDubinBlog headquarters was destroyed by The Great Atlanta Flood. See that limb sticking all the way through the steel-reinforced, ultra high security roof? Yea. That's where the intern has been hiding and waiting for his writers block to clear. Give him some love at http://manndubinintern.blogspot.com.
Sorry Rachel W!
Sorry Mr. Patel!
Welcome to The Great Atlanta Flood!
Thanks for checking out our newest blog! We'll begin with some pictures from our friends who had their stuff really destroyed. We're sad for all the trouble that the flood has caused, but we wouldn't be MannDubinBlog if we let it keep us down. That said, we hope that you'll share some of your pictures with us at AtlantaFlood@gmail.com.
